May 02, 2024 - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has released an updated list of non-programmable calculators permitted for use in licensure examinations. The list was made public to ensure that all examinees are aware of the approved models they can use during their examinations. The specific models included in the list were not mentioned in the announcement but are available in an attached photo.
In addition to the list, the PRC has also issued further guidelines to be strictly adhered to by all examinees:
Only one non-programmable calculator per examinee will be allowed inside the examination room. This rule is to ensure fairness among all examinees.
All calculators will be thoroughly inspected by the examination personnel every examination day. This is to prevent any potential misuse of calculators during the examinations.
Borrowing, lending, and substitution/replacement of calculators while the examination is in progress will not be permitted. This rule is to maintain the integrity of the examination process.
For any queries and concerns regarding these guidelines, examinees can reach out to the Licensure Office at licensure.office1@prc.gov.ph or licensure.division@prc.gov.ph.
The PRC continues to uphold the highest standards of integrity and fairness in conducting licensure examinations, ensuring that all examinees are given an equal opportunity to succeed. The updated list of non-programmable calculators and the additional guidelines are part of this ongoing commitment.
